Crawling, Sleeping, Eating...OH MY!

Crawling:
Well, Lylah is not quite crawling yet, but she is getting up on all fours and rocking. She likes grabbing everything. She will pick up her booty, while on her tummy and scoot. If she could only get those arms going she will be off seeing the world. The exersaucer is her favorite thing right now. We are getting her a Johnny Jump up this weekend.

Sleeping:
I started reading the book, Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. I should have read this before Lylah came. Man-o-Man, it has changed our life and hers. She takes naps and can fall asleep on her own. Woo Hoo :0) I totally suggest this book to any mom having problems getting their baby, toddler or child to sleep.(Dr. Wissenbluth covers all three) She got the baby doll a couple of days ago. It was a shower gift that I found in the closet....she loves her!

Eating:
Lylah is doing much better eating. She still has good days and bad ones, but I do not worry about it as much. She was getting pretty bored with the pureed stuff, so I bought some peas and some Gerber Cheerio puffs to experiment with. All she does is play with them and they sorta make it into her mouth, but it is fun to watch.

We leave on Monday for Cincinnati Children's for Lylah's consult appointment with the surgeon.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

One in Two thousand (times 2)

So, most of you know, Lylah was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck three times. That occurs in 1 out of 2,000 babies...Well, this past week I took her to a Pediatric Dermatologist about the birthmark/mole on her left ankle expecting just a picture and a followup in a year kind of visit. NOPE! Surgery! Apparently, Lylah has an ......atypical dysplastic congenital nevi (birthmark/mole) that is precancerous. Guess What? 1 in 2,000 babies are born with this congenital nevi. We go Aug. 3rd to Cincinnati Childrens Hospital for a consult. So, this is how I have been able to deal with all of this.... God has chosen our Baby girl not once but TWICE to be that 1 in 2,000.

Thank You God for loving my sweet baby and making her so incredibly special...x2!

Long Time....

My goodness....I have not posted in FOREVER!!! So, I am trying really hard to start again.

Mommyhood is NOTHING like I expected it to be....It is so much better. Man, the love I feel for my sweet babe is something I can not even describe to you...Lylah will be 7 months on July 30th. Where has the time gone? Here are a few new pics :0)

On days when Michael is gone all day it becomes really tough to do it on my own. Lylah is teething so, that makes things even more tricky. Sometimes I am just over it. I feel like I need a break, I deserve a break. It always seems like when we are going through something, at the time it is HUGE, only to look back and think..."That was not that bad!)

I love this...
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, is the Rock eternal. --Isaiah 26:4

Thank you Father for loving me, especially when I am un-loveable and I am at my worst. You love me exactly for me.

Lylah at Night...

Well, I have come to the conclusion that my sweet Lylah Bean is a night owl, unlike her mother. I came to this astute observation during the many times I have to go and relieve my bladder. When I get back in bed she is moving around. Now, normally I would fall right back to sleep, but I enjoy her movement so much, I do not want to miss it. In-fact, Sunday night was the first night I could feel her move with my hand on my belly. As tears rolled down my face, I thanked God for this amazing gift he had given Michael and I.

Lylah

Michael and I have decided on a name for our sweet girl....Lylah. It is easy to start bonding with her now that she has a name. We used to refer to her as "it" or "baby". Now, she has her vary own name. We are so blessed by a loving and awesome God, whom makes such amazing miracles come to life. I pray every everyday for this sweet girl growing inside of me to be healthy and for her to know that she is loved by Michael and I. Lylah...we can't wait to meet you!

Our Baby Girl!

Our Sweet Girl with her hand in front of her face.

Ok, I gave in and decided to Blog!

So, since we found out we are pregnant in May, I have been throwing around the idea to start blogging. Obviously, I have given in. I am extremely challenged when it comes to technical computer stuff. That being said, please bear with me while I learn what I am doing.
